Nick Cannon Dating Kanye West Old Girlfriend Jessica White

Nick Cannon found a shoulder to cry on with Jessica White.

After he filed for divorce from Mariah Carey in December, the 30-year-old model, who was once "purely just friends" with Cannon, is now his new lady, E! News reports.

"Jessica fully respected Nick's relationship and would never get in between anything with them," a source said about the "America's Got Talent" host's six-year marriage to Carey. "When Nick was going through his breakup, Jessica was there for him as a friend."

Their friendship has since blossomed, apparently, and the tables have turned with Cannon now offering support to White in her pursuit of a career in music.

"Jessica been in the studio lately and Nick has been very supportive with her focusing on her music career and giving her some great pointers and direction as she explores her talents," the source added.

The 34-year-old TV personality also found healing power in his newly released children's book, "Neon Aliens Ate My Homework and Other Poems."

"I'm talking about relationships in there. Like how I feel being in love (in 'Flourescent Essence')," Cannon told the Daily News Wednesday.

"Writing is something I've always done, whether it was lyrics or television scripts," he added. "It allows you to focus on happiness when there are hardships and difficult times."

It's a no-brainer that having a bombshell like White on his arm is also a distraction from the hardships of divorce and a broken home — Cannon shares 3-year-old twins, Moroccan and Monroe with Carey.

"They been spending lots of time together and Nick really enjoys Jessica's free spirit and easy going attitude for life," the insider told E!
