News spread of the ex-athlete’s passing on Sunday (July 14), with the Baltimore Sun first reporting on his sudden death. Monday (July 15), a cause of death hasn’t been released. Jacoby Jones’ family released a statement in the aftermath of the player’s death, stating that he “passed away peacefully at his home in New Orleans. “ The family, including his mother, Emily, and his son, Little Jacoby, are together and are asking for prayers, privacy, and support as they navigate through this difficult time,” the NFL Players Association posted on X/Twitter on behalf of the league and Jones’ family. The Ravens sent their condolences to Jacoby and his loved ones, sharing a series of posts on the social media platform. Baltimore shared the news and expressed that the organization was “completely heartbroken to learn about the passing of Jacoby Jones. Jacoby had the unique ability to connect with everyone he encountered. His charisma, joy and love created a one-of-a-kind presence that could light up any room or brighten any dark day,” the statement read.
