Nas' I Am is one of those albums steeped in intrigue and mystique. First, there's the rumor that Nas almost suffocated while shooting the Egyptian-themed cover. Next, there is The controversy surrounding the Diddy-assisted single, "Hate Me Now," whose video depicting Diddy being crucified led to a skirmish at Steve Stoute's office.the album's preliminary leak is probably the most notable event given that it led to a restructuring of the album that Nas intended to put out in the first place which included a double disc. Thus, songs like “Poppa Was a Player, Fetus (Belly Button Window),” Drunk By Myself” never saw official releases Until now. In honor of Record Store Day, Nas' I Am... The Autobiography, will go from mythical what if, to a tactile thing. Legacy Recordings bills it as featuring 2 unreleased tracks as well as many other rarities that have been on limited vinyl and 12" previously, as well as deluxe packaging. A must-have for any Nas and die-hard Hip-Hop head I Am... The Autobiography drops 11/24.
