Mystikal‘s song “Did I Do It” is taking on a whole new meaning.
The rapper, whose real name is Michael Tyler, has been charged with one count of first-degree rape, Page Six confirmed Monday. In 2016, the Shreveport Police Sex Crimes Investigators launched an investigation into an alleged sexual assault that took place in Shreveport, Louisiana. After they submitted physical evidence to a lab, the investigators were notified that the DNA linked Tyler, 46, and another man named Averweone Holman, 26, to the alleged rape.
Both Tyler and Holman were charged with first-degree rape and bond was set at $2 million for each; however, only Holman was arrested on Aug. 18, 2017. Mystikal turned himself into Caddo Correctional Center Monday afternoon, the Shreveport police Public Information Officer told Page Six.
An associate of the “Shake Ya Ass” rapper named Tenichia Wafford was also arrested on the charge of accessory after the fact to first-degree rape. According to Shreveport police, Wafford allegedly sought out the victim to try to convince her to drop the charges against Tyler and Holman. Wafford’s bond was set at $200,000.
