Mya Denies Jay Z Affair After Beyonce Sparks Cheating Rumors

If Jay Z is cheating on Beyoncé, it's not with Mya.

"Never did, never was, never will," the pop star said about her rumored affair with the "99 Problems" rapper, after she was asked about the gossip on Instagram.

"Heard you and Jay Z had an 11-year affair," the fan wrote Thursday. "Are you his side chick or nah?"

A recent blind item suggested Beyoncé's husband has been secretly dating - and financially supporting - Mya for years. The "Case of the Ex" singer strongly refuted these claims.

"Illegitimate, thirsty sources with no facts and that's the 'media' for you - especially today," she wrote. "I play second to no one, pay my own bills, have my own label, own management company, rely on God only and respect myself & marriage too much for nonsense."

"False rumors are crafted for ratings & numbers," Mya continued. "And miserable, unhappy people need someone to judge to deter the attention away from their own misery and feel better about their miserable lives. If they did it to Jesus, they'll do it to anyone. God bless."

Mya's denial comes in the wake of Beyoncé and Jay Z's eyebrow-raising show Saturday during their On The Run tour.

While performing the song "Resentment," the 32-year-old mother of Blue Ivy notably changed the lyrics to the song, which is about a woman who has been cheated on.

Instead of singing the original words "been riding with you for six years," the pop star sang "been riding with you for 12 years," the same amount of time the superstars have been together.
Fans quickly speculated that Beyoncé purposely changed the lyrics to refer to adultery in her own marriage.
