MY BLOODY VALENTINE! MAN SHOWS UP TO HER JOB WITH FLOWERS & SHOOTS HER IN THE HEAD!

A jilted ex-lover with a bouquet of flowers walked into a Queens pharmacy Thursday and killed the mother of his two children with a gunshot to the head, police and witnesses said.

Hours after the shocking Long Island City murder, police found Alexander Figueroa, 38, dead by his own hand inside an apartment blocks away, sources said.

Figueroa shot himself in the head after he allegedly killed his ex-girlfriend, Guimmia Villa, 32, inside Crescent Chemists, Inc. on 34th Ave. about 3:45 p.m., police sources said.

Figueroa, an ex-con, stepped inside the store with a bouquet of red and yellow flowers and asked to speak with Villa, who works as a cashier, police and witnesses said.

"They talk and then I heard 'Pop!'" said witness Maria Lombar, 65. "I saw her on the ground. She went down dead. Blood was all over."

Villa was transported to Mount Sinai Hospital, where she died.

The couple, who had two children - Alexander, 9, and Nelson, 6 - was known for their volatile relationship, sources said. Villa had an order of protection placed on Figueroa in Nassau County in April 2009, which expires next April.

Another was placed on the Figueroa in Queens last year and expired last month, sources said.

"He didn't respect that," said Maria Dinorah Reinoso, a family friend. "He was threatening her over the phone. He wanted to kill her."

Figueroa - who served time for attempted robbery and possession of a weapon convictions - was once busted for breaking the stay away orders.

On Nov. 30, 2009, the two had a heated argument in Queens. He repeatedly pushed Villa before taking her cell phone and wallet, sources said. He was later charged with petit larceny, harassment and criminal contempt.

"She was just trying to be a good mom and he took that away from her," said friend Tina Davis, 25. "I didn't like him very much."

Figueroa was found dead inside a 36th Ave. apartment near 21st St. about 6:30 p.m. by what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound to his head.

"That's the best thing that can happen," said Davis. "Anybody else finds him and they're not going to be so nice."
