Migos are being accused of ripping off another artist on their smash hit “Walk It Talk It.”
A lawsuit filed by Leander C. Pickett, who records under the name M.O.S., alleges that the rap trio of stole significant chunks of his 2008 song “Walk It Like I Talk It” for the popular single, reports TMZ.
According to court docs obtained by the website, Picket noticed similarities between his song and the “Culture II” track when the album was released in January of this year.
While the songs are not identical, there are striking similarities between the two, particularly the chorus which closely echo one another with the exception of a few ad-libs on the newer track.
Pickett is suing both the group and their label, Capitol Records, seeking damages. He also wants a judge to stop the group from using the composition again.
