MOTHERS BRAWL AT A PRE-K GRADUATION!

Parents at Los Angeles preschool turned a graduation ceremony into an all-out brawl over the lone cap and gown available to the 45 children.
A video displayed on EAGNews, an education website, shows last week's disgraceful melee of arguing parents taking swings at one another.

"A few parents began arguing, which resulted in a parent being assaulted" Los Angeles Unified School District spokesman Tom Waldman told the Daily News regarding the fight at Weemes Elementary School.

"Because of budget issues, all the kids had to share a cap and gown for pictures," a witness who gave the video to EAGNews said.

Waldman, in a follow up email, disputed the witness's claims of budgetary issues, saying "there was not supposed to be any cap and gown for a pre-school culmination ceremony."

What was said between the two ladies in the video is unclear, but their words ignited violence.

The witness who took the video said the scuffle caused an older lady - who wasn’t involved in the fight - to hit her head on a book shelf, helping her only caused the situation to escalate further.

"I rushed to help her," said the witness, "but when this other mom rush to help us, the angry women actually attacked the other mom"

The woman sustained a cut lip, but according to Waldman there is "no indication that it involved hospitalization."

No children were injured during the brawl and no charges have been filed, said Waldman.

Parents across the country have been expelled from their children's graduation ceremonies for cheering too loudly. And in some of the more extreme instances, students were told they would not receive their diplomas until they completed a specified amount of volunteer work.
