MORGAN FREEMAN DONATES A MILLION DOLLARS TO PRO-OBAMA PAC!

President Obama’s latest $1 million donor is a former fictional resident of the White House himself: Morgan Freeman.

The star of the latest Batman movie, “The Dark Knight Rises," made the big-money donation to the pro-Obama super PAC Priorities USA Action, Politico reported.

“President Obama has done a remarkable job in historically difficult circumstances,” Freeman said in a statement to Politico, noting the president’s actions to end combat operations in Iraq and rescue the auto industry, among others.

“In return, he is the target of hundreds of millions of dollars from right-wing sources," he added. "I am proud to lend my voice - and support - to those who defend him."

The donation comes after Freeman made waves by suggesting that Obama is not America’s first black president.

The actor, who played the U.S. president in the disaster flick “Deep Impact,” noted that Obama’s mother was both American and white as he was critizinging the so-called birther movement for its suspicions about his citizenship.

“America's first black president hasn't arisen yet,” Freeman told NPR in an interview earlier this month. “He's not America's first black president — he's America's first mixed-race president.”

Freeman, an Oscar winner and Hollywood icon, is a less controversial Hollywood supporter than the super PAC’s previous well-known million-dollar donor, HBO comedian Bill Maher. Some conservatives demanded that the super PAC return Maher’s donation over crude comments he made about Sarah Palin.
