MOM WHO DROVE HERSELF & KIDS INTO THE HUDSON RIVER LEFT A FACEBOOK APOLOGY!

The suicidal mom who drove her family van into the Hudson River posted a terrifying Facebook warning just 30 minutes before killing herself and her three children.
"I'm so sorry everyone forgive me please for what I'm gonna do.... This Is It!!!!" Lashanda Armstrong wrote from her Blackberry shortly before the Tuesday night tragedy.

The chilling account appeared on MidHudsonNews.com, which gained access to the dead woman's Facebook page. Armstrong's friends filled the page with prayers and wishes for peace after her death.

The message appeared at 7:13 p.m., and Armstrong and her kids were gone from her Newburgh apartment when police arrived to probe a domestic dispute at 7:43 p.m., the web site reported.

Armstrong, 25, drowned along with 5-year-old Landon, 2-year-old Lance and 11-month-old Lainaina. Only her 10-year-son Lashaun expected the tan van turned death trap.

The Good Samaritan who helped the young survivor of the murder-suicide said Thursday that she wants to tell the little boy that he acted like a hero.

"He was blaming himself for not reaching them how to swim and for not unbuckling his little sister," Maeve Ryan told the Daily News. "It's not your fault Lashaun - you're courageous.

"You actually got out and raised the alarm," Ryan said Thursday, two days after she picked up the scared, shivering little boy from a road near the Hudson River.

Lashaun Armstrong managed to open one of the family van's power windows and make his escape in the scant two minutes before the vehicle sunk into the dark, murky waters.

The mother picked up her four children about six hours earlier than usual on Tuesday morning, swinging by the Young and Unique Christian Development day care.

"It did seem a little strange at first, but she said her work scheduled would vary so we didn't make much of it," said owner Desiree Watson.
Hours after their 11:30 a.m. departure, Watson was stunned to learn of their 8 p.m. deaths.

"I haven't processed what has happened yet," she said Thursday. "The kids ask me if if the children are coming back ... How do you explain what happened?"

Ryan, 31, was still shaken by her chance encounter with the little boy on the rainy stretch of road in Newburgh. She hopes to speak with Lashaun's great-aunt to arrange a reunion with the child.

"He was so frightened," Ryan remembered. "The look on his face will stay with me forever."

The mother of four slipped into her murderous mood after a heated argument with her longtime boyfriend, 26-year-old Jean Pierre, Ryan said.

Neighbors said the couple fought frequently, most often over Pierre's infidelities. Pierre was released Wednesday night after questioning by police, and was unlikely to face charges.

Day care owner Watson became aware of the stress between the couple a few weeks ago, when Armstrong asked the staff to remove Pierre from the list of people who could call about the kids or pick them up.

"John Pierre would sometimes call to ask, 'Are my children OK?'" Watson said. "But we could not tell him."
