Mitchell & Ness And TATS Cru Collab To Celebrate 50th Anniversary Of Hip Hop

To celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Hip Hop Mitchell & Ness and legendary graffiti crew TATS Cru are collaborating on a custom collection of NBA jerseys set to launch in October 2023. The release perfectly coincides with the start of the 2023-24 NBA season and Hip Hop History Month in November. The collection is a tribute to eight major metropolitan cities that significantly contributed to Hip Hop music and culture development. These cities include New York, New Jersey, Atlanta, Chicago, Miami, Detroit, Los Angeles, and Philadelphia. Each jersey showcases unique graffiti designs of the city skylines and incorporates the four core elements of Hip Hop: mc’ing, dj’ing, graffiti art, and breaking. Mitchell & Ness and TATS Cru have masterfully blended the worlds of sports and street art, creating wearable pieces of art that encapsulate the essence of both cultures. TATS Cru, a legendary group of New York City-based graffiti artists, started their careers in the mid-’80s, marking the rise of Hip Hop worldwide.
