Miley Cyrus won't be swinging from the Times Square Ball, but she will be there.
The 21-year-old "Wrecking Ball" singer took to Twitter late Wednesday to confirm she will perform at the site of the annual ball drop in New York City on New Year's Eve.
"Smilers! There's been a change in my NYE plans @RyanSeacrest asked me to perform in Times Square for #RockinEve!!" she wrote to her over 15 million followers.
Seacrest first broke the news about adding Cyrus to the "Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2014” lineup during an appearance on "Jimmy Kimmel Live."
"We just added Miley Cyrus to be in Times Square right before the ball drops," he told Kimmel on Wednesday night.
"We try to look for the artist that's created a lot of buzz and had a really big year."
Before Cyrus was asked to take the stage in the Big Apple just moments before the clock strikes 12, she had been scheduled to appear at the Fontainebleau in Miami Beach, Fla. with Pharrell Williams.
"I'm bummed I won't be in Miami, wanna thank the homies @Fontainebleau 4 their support #turnupforme," Cyrus wrote of the change of plans.
