IN THE STREETS & ON THE WEB

Miguel is adorned with a DUI charge.

The 27-year-old singer was arrested early Thursday morning for driving drunk in Los Angeles, reports TMZ.

Born Miguel Jontel Pimentel, the Grammy Award-winning singer was initially pulled over by California Highway Patrol officers in his 2013 BMW X6 for speeding and tinted windows shortly after 2 a.m. But officers quickly detected a strong smell of alcohol coming from the "Adorn" singer and proceeded with field sobriety tests.

Miguel failed the tests and blew a 0.10 and 0.11 on a Breathalyzer, which is over the California legal limit by .08.

The 5-foot-7-inch 140-pound crooner was booked at a nearby station and was released just a few hours later after posting $5,000 bail.

While his reps have not issued any comments regarding the incident, Miguel is scheduled to appear in court in September

He is currently nominated for two MTV Video Music Awards in the categories of "Best Hip-Hop Video" for his feature role on J.Cole's "Power Trip" and "Best Video with a Social Message" for his single "Candles in the Sun."
