Michael Jackson Tops Forbes List Of Top-Earning Dead Celebrities

The top-earning celebrity of 2013 doesn't even have a pulse.

Forbes released a list of the top-earning dead celebrities for this year, and the No.1 earner on the list, Michael Jackson, raked in a whopping $160 million from June 2012 to June 2013. Jackson easily trounced the No. 1 earner still living, Madonna, who earned only $125 million.

Jackson took the top spot from Elizabeth Taylor. This year, the late movie star's earning landed her in fourth place.

Elvis Presley came in second, earning $55 million despite passing away in 1977. In third is Charles Schulz, creator of the cartoon "Peanuts," who earned $37 million. Schulz died of colon cancer in 2000. Other entries on the list include Bettie Page, Bob Marley, and Dr. Seuss.
