The British public gave the most fitting tribute to the late great Michael Jackson by firing his records back into the charts.

The moonwalking superstar has a posthumous chart-topper with album Number Ones.

And a mind-boggling 43 Jacko tracks have also popped up in the full 200 singles rundown.

Michael accounts for an incredible 300,000 record sales in just two days this week.

And as his greatest hits sit at the top of the album pile, his 1982 masterpiece Thriller also hurtled into the Top Ten at No7.

Collections King Of Pop and The Essential as well as 1972 album Off The Wall also made the Top 20.

Man In The Mirror makes the biggest dent in the singles chart, just outside the Top Ten at No11.

And classics Thriller, Billie Jean, Smooth Criminal, Beat It and Earth Song all hit the Top 40.

Meanwhile, back at Glasto, no one was more moved by the legend's passing than DIZZEE RASCAL.

The rapper paid tribute to the King Of Pop by peppering his set with snatches of Jacko's biggest hits.

Dizzee told me it was his duty to commemorate MJ's death during his slot on the Pyramid Stage on Saturday.

He said: "Michael had his problems but he was one of the biggest pop stars the world has seen.

"I couldn't believe it when I heard he was dead. I just sat and watched the news for two hours.

"Michael came up with some great pop tracks and I wanted to recognise that in my set."
