Michael B. Jordan Starring in new film directed by Denzel Washington

Michael B. Jordan will play the lead in the new Denzel Washington directed film.

Yesterday the official trailer for A Journal for Jordan was released. Actor, Michael B. Jordan (Creed, Fruitvale Station) stars in the first trailer for the romantic drama. Directed by Denzel Washington, the film is based on the true life memoir “A Journal for Jordan: A Story of Love and Honor” by Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Dana Canedy.

A Journal for Jordan follows the real-life story of First Sergeant Charles Monroe King, played by Jordan. Unfortunately in 2006 King was tragically killed in Iraq when his son was just seven months old. During his time overseas he use to write letters to his newborn son, also named Jordan. His wife Canedy, played in the movie by Chanté Adams, kept all the poignant letters in a book for their son.

Michael B. Jordan is no stranger to playing a soldier’s role on the big screen. In April of this year Jordan starred in the action film Without Remorse opposite of Lauren London.

Longtime actor, Denzel Washington has limitless talent. Washington directed and starred in the 2016 film Fences, which helped him earn Oscar noms for best picture and actor.
