Megan Thee Stallion legal team filed a motion requesting a permanent injunction to prevent Gramz, real name Milagro Cooper, from cyberstalking her. The three-time Grammy winner claims that she has experienced "substantial emotional distress" stemming from the blogger's output, which has caused a "reasonable fear for her physical safety and health.
The proposed injunction, if approved by a judge, would have multiple effects. It would:
Megan accused Gramz of orchestrating a scheme with convicted R&B and hip-hop artist Tory Lanez, who is serving a ten-year sentence for shooting the rapper in July 2020. "An injunction is essential to protect Ms. Pete against the threat of harm posed to her safety and well-being by Defendant’s conduct," the document reads. Lawyers for the "Bigger In Texas" artist argue that if Gramz isn't barred from cyberstalking the rapper, she'll be a victim to "suffer irreparable harm" perpetuated by the blogger and her "mob" of followers. In late November, Gramz was found liable on all three claims for defaming Megan, real name Megan Pete, and was ordered to pay damages of $75,000. In a video captured by court reporter Meghann Cuniff, the rapper said that she was "happy" about the outcome. The damages were eventually reduced to $59,000.
