Apparently Meek Mill was on his "worst behavior" before his bitter rival Drake entered his hometown.
Meek — a Philadelphia native — made a concerted effort to block Drake from throwing an after-party in the City of Brotherly Love following his concert there Sunday evening, TMZ reports.
Members of Meek's team reportedly called multiple nightclubs in the area, begging them to shoot down the "Hotline Bling" artist if he requested to host a post-show bash.
Likewise, the rancorous rapper's camp also called slews of their friends asking them to attend the concert in a show of unity for Meek, according to the celebrity gossip site.
And if that weren't enough, Meek's people reportedly called his nemesis' people and advised them to make sure he showed respect to Meek in front of his hometown fans — a gesture that Drake didn't take too kindly too.
The apparent warning reportedly agitated the "Views" creator and prompted him to fire off a series of disses against Meek at his shows over the weekend.
In Washington D.C. on Saturday, Drake changed the lyrics to his Meek Mill take-down track "Back to Back" to call his foe a "p---y."
He took things even further in Philadelphia, altering the song's lyrics once again before calling out the rapper after the diss track ended.
"Just remember, when you watch that video over and over tonight, it's not about your city," Drake roared to the screaming audience. "I Love your city. You did that s--t to your motherf---ing self, boy."
He took another shot at the concert while performing "Still Here," pointedly declaring: "You not really from Philly and they can tell."
Drake didn’t end up partying in Philly after the show, though it’s unclear if Meek had anything to do with it, according TMZ.
The heated war of words was sparked last summer when Meek accused Drake of using a ghostwriter to come up with the words to his songs.
The two have traded lyrical barbs ever since, with Drake's "Back to Back" quickly becoming a megahit and staple at his concerts.
