Meek Mill, Meghan Trainor and Rapsody have signed on as the NFL’s first Inspire Change advocates — and they’ll perform a free concert at Chicago’s Grant Park on Sept 5.
The show will be part of the “NFL Kickoff Experience,” and a portion of Meek and Trainor’s performances will be featured in a 40-minute pregame show from Chicago on NBC and the NFL Network.
Meantime the NFL will also launch an apparel line called “Inspire Change” plus an initiative called “Songs of the Season.”
The apparel will fund and support Inspire Change programs across the country. Songs of the Season is a “multi-tier season-long initiative” that will feature established stars and emerging artists with songs to be integrated into NFL promos each month during the season.
The songs will also be released on streaming platforms. All proceeds from the songs will go toward the Inspire Change program, according to a release by the NFL on Friday. It’s one of the first moves made by Jay-Z’s Roc Nation as part of a deal with the League on entertainment.
