Meek Mill dodged jail time — but don't expect the rapper to release any celebratory tracks soon.
The 28-year-old was sentenced to house arrest with a mandatory ankle monitor bracelet for at least three months — and up to one year — for violating a 2009 probation.
While held at his home beginning March 1, the "Tupac Back" singer cannot release any music until June at the earliest, Common Pleas Judge Genece Brinkley said Friday.
Instead of spitting rhymes, Mill, whose legal name is Robert Williams, must complete charity work with groups serving adults.
The Philadelphia judge also tacked on six more years of parole to Mill's sentence and will reevaluate his status in three months.
The rapper's girlfriend, Nicki Minaj, was present during Mill's sentencing and even talked to the judge in chambers about possible charity work.
Minaj appeared to have been crying at one point during the proceeding.
“I just want to ask you for a chance to turn that corner and be a changed man,” Mill told the judge. “You said you saw something in me ... I want to prove you right. I believe I can be the bright star you intended me to be.”
Mill's legal troubles date back to 2008 when he was arrested on charges of drug dealing and gun possession.
He was released in 2009 after serving eight months but wound up back behind bars in 2014 for five months for repeatedly violating the terms of his five-year probation.
Most recently, he violated it last fall with unapproved trips, which included visits to see Minaj and to go to the American Music Awards in Los Angeles.
The rapper also failed a drug test when he turned in cold water in a cup instead of urine, according to prosecutors.
At a December 2015 hearing, Minaj took the stand and delivered heartfelt testimony to try to keep her beau out of prison.
"He's not perfect, but I can't believe how much he's changed," she told the judge at the time.
Mill first violated his probation in 2012 when he traveled without permission and later booked out-of-town concerts even though he was ordered to stop performing.
A judge at the time also noted Mill had posted harsh comments about his probation officer and prosecutor on Twitter.
That judge might be a Drake fan ….
