Meek Mill headed back into the recording studio for the first time after being released from jail on bail pending his appeal for a wrongful conviction.
The rapper — who was celebrating his 31st birthday — flew down to Miami following Saturday’s Philadelphia 76ers game and headed into the studio on Sunday. A source said, “He got permission to fly down to Miami for work, to go into the studio. I’m sure he’s got a lot to say.”
The source added that Meek had turned down offers from friends to throw him a huge party in Miami, and he was expected to go for dinner Sunday night with a group of friends after watching his NBC “Dateline” special with Lester Holt.
He is due to fly back to Philly on Monday for the next 76ers game.
