Mary J. Blige Reveals She Was 'F*cking Tired' During 2025 Tour

Mary J. Blige fans were right about the Queen of Hip-Hop Soul being tired during her 2025 headlining tour. She sat down with Angie Martinez during the Wednesday (Jan. 21) episode of the IRL podcast. Around the 28-minute mark of the video below, Blige was asked about the viral reactions to her performances on the For My Fans Tour. Fans observed that during certain sets, the 55-year-old singer appeared disinterested in performing and even encouraged fans to sing instead of her. "Imma curse really hard. I was fucking exhausted because I was on the 30th show of 40 shows," Blige told Martinez. "We was in Chicago or something like that. I was exhausted. I was kind of over everything. I was just tired. "I've been working hard all my life and sometimes you get tired. So, for people to be like, 'Oh, she looked tired.' Yeah, I was fucking tired. I was," Blige admitted.The nine-time Grammy winner added that women in the music industry work "really hard," and said that Beyoncé likely experiences similar exhaustion when she's on the road. "She gonna [move] her neck, whatever she be doing, it's gonna look like she need to stop doing it 'cause she's done it for 50 shows. So I'm like, 'Shut up with that shit,'" Blige continued. "Sometimes we get tired, but when we rest, we on." Elsewhere, Blige said that she had possibly been drinking before she hit the stage but shared that she would probably participate in "Dry February."
