Martin Shkreli Reportedly Hit In The Face With Dog Poop

Martin Shkreli, known as “Pharma bro” was scheduled to appear at a college campus event when someone reportedly threw dog feces at his face during a protest.

Shkreli, a former pharmaceutical executive, charged with federal security fraud, and Breitbart columnist Milo Yiannopoulos, were supposed speak at a University of California, Davis event Friday.

A video shows Shkreli surrounded by cameras and appearing to wipe something off his eye after someone hurled an unknown substance at him.

Shkreli did not immediately respond to a request for comment about the poop claim.

But he told Mashable in an email that “There was no poop thrown, unfortunately,” and bashed initial reports as “fake news.”

He added that his security team determined it was “leaves” which he “brushed off” his face.

“The lack of smell, stain or other obvious findings eliminates the possibility," Shkreli said.

The event, hosted by the Davis College Republicans Club, was canceled after protesters barricaded the venue’s entrance, which resulted in one person getting arrested, according to a university statement.

“I am deeply disappointed with the events of this evening,” Interim Chancellor Ralph Hexter said Friday.

Yiannopoulos promoted the “Twitter villain extravaganza!” event with the hashtag #SHKRELOPOULOS on his Instagram page. He was banned from Twitter after harassing "Ghostbusters" actress Leslie Jones.

Hundreds of students wrote a public letter to the organizers and the university condemning the event by calling Yiannopoulos a “champion of hate speech against people of color and women.”

Yiannopoulos and members of the student organization protested “the university’s pathetic failure to protect free speech” Saturday in response to the event’s cancellation.

Shkreli was not at that march, according to reports.

The incident comes after Twitter banned Shkreli over harassment claims by journalist Lauren Duca.

Shkreli last week changed his Twitter profile picture to one of him and Duca and a collage with a caption that read: “Til Death Do Us Part.”

The two got into a heated Twitter battle after Duca shared a screenshot of Shkreli asking her to be his date to President-elect Donald Trump’s Jan. 20th inauguration.

Dubbed the “most hated man in America,” Shkreli drew national attention in 2015 when his company Turing Puring Pharmaceuticals surged the price of the life-saving drug Daraprim from $13.50 to $750 per pill.

The Brooklyn-born business man was arrested for security fraud, and he resigned as the company’s CEO that year.
