MARTIN LAWRENCE & WIFE SPLIT AFTER 17 YEARS!

Martin Lawrence and his wife are ending their marriage, People.com reports. The couple, who have been together for 17 years, tied the knot in 2010.

"Martin and Shamicka Lawrence have decided to divorce," a rep for the celebrated actor and comedian says. "The couple has made the joint decision to part ways."

"Out of love and respect for one another we will continue to remain friends and raise our two beautiful daughters together," the couple said in a joint statement.

Lawrence and his longtime love wed at their Beverly Hills home in front of 120 guests, including his Boomerang co-star Eddie Murphy and Denzel Washington. Their daughters, Lyana and Ameria, were flower girls, along with their half-sister Jasmine, Lawrence's daughter from his previous marriage to Patricia Southall.

No reason has been given for the sudden split.
