Mariah Carey isn't sweating the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame leaving her off its latest induction list she straight up says she doesn't care. Carey was asked if she was annoyed about not getting inducted again, and she simply replied, “No.” When the interviewer pointed out that she’s already won “a lot of awards” during her career, she added, “Who cares? Like, give it to somebody else, fantastic. Carey was named as a nominee for induction in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame this year alongside eight others who didn’t make the cut. Other artists who were nominated but didn’t make it past the voting stage include The Black Crowes, Lauryn Hill, INXS, Shakira, P!nk, New Edition, Melissa Etheridge, and the late Jeff Buckley. It’s not uncommon for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame to pass on inducting artists multiple times before they eventually receive the honor. The inductees this year are Phil Collins, Billy Idol, Iron Maiden, Joy Division/New Order, Oasis, Sade, the Wu-Tang Clan, and the late Luther Vandross. Three of those acts—Iron Maiden, Joy Division/New Order, and Oasis—have been nominated twice before, only to not get inducted.
