The troubled older sister of singer Mariah Carey pleaded not guilty to prostitution charges Wednesday in upstate Saugerties, according to reports.
Alison Carey, 55, was released from the Ulster County Jail after making her $1,000 bail, the Daily Freeman reported.
Neither Carey nor her lawyer, Thomas Melanson, spoke to reporters before or after the short proceeding. The woman was arrested Friday at a Howard Johnson hotel after an undercover cop posing as a customer responded to an ad the R&B diva’s sister posted online.
The ad contained two photos of Carey and promised her “sweet, sweet fantasy” services, a riff on the lyrics of her famous sibling’s 1995 hit “Fantasy.”
The sisters have reportedly had a rocky relationship for years.
