Mariah Carey And Billionaire Fiancé James Packer Call It Quits

Apparently they don’t belong together.

Mariah Carey and her billionaire fiancé, James Packer, have called it quits after being engaged for less than a year, TMZ reported.

The powerhouse singer’s upcoming reality show, “Mariah’s World,” apparently hit a sour note with the Australian businessman, who had reservations about the series. Packer was also allegedly fed up after Carey had a rendezvous with one of her Vegas show dancers, a source told the gossip site.

The 49-year-old business mogul reportedly dumped the “We Belong Together” songstress because of her “extravagant spending” habits, according to Women’s Day.

Packer was notably missing from Carey’s Halloween party over the weekend. She appeared to be amicable with ex Nick Cannon in a family photo with their 5-year-old twins, Monroe and Moroccan.

The pop diva became the queen of rock in January when Packer popped the question with a 35-carat diamond ring worth a cool $7.5 million.

Packer proposed to the 46-year-old star during an intimate dinner at the Eleven Madison Park in front of Carey’s closest friends.

"(It was) very romantic. He’s an exceptional person and really ... it gets more romantic by the day, so it’s very sweet,” Carey gushed to E! News in January of the proposal.

The couple first met last June when they vacationed together in Portofino, Italy. Both have been married twice before. Carey was married to music exec Tommy Mottola before divorcing Cannon in 2015.

“Mariah’s World” is set to premiere this December on E!.
