The fight of the century between Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao is on, at least if it's is up to Manny Pacquiao.
The boxer recently appeared at the Sofitel Hotel in Manilla with promoter Peter Maniatis and was quoted as saying, “I will fight Mayweather next year,” according to Digital Journal.
The two fighters have reportedly ironed out all the wrinkles that have kept the fight from taking place for the last two years including money negotiations and drug testing stipulations.
Mayweather has reportedly agreed to split the purse 50/50 with the Filipino congressman, while Manny was will now adhere to Mayweather's strict drug testing requests.
Both men must first take care of business in the fights they have taking place later on this year.
Mayweather is scheduled to take on Victor Ortiz on September 17 and Manny will battle with Juan Manuel Marquez on November 12.
In related news, Pac Man's pop ballad “Sometimes We Touch” cracked the top 10 moving to No. 7 in the secondary adult contemporary rankings earlier this week.
