A clueless robber in strange headgear succeeded after three failed attempts in making off with cash from a Manhattan store, police said.
The robber appears to be wearing a surgical cap in security camera photos released by cops on Monday.
The robber first struck April 28 at a Duane Reade pharmacy on Broadway in Chelsea but fled before getting any cash.
He tried again two days later just a few blocks away at a Cosi food shop on Broadway, and then Friday at a Starbucks on Seventh Ave. in midtown, but he left empty-handed each time.
In each botched robbery, the man covered his face with one hand while sticking his other hand beneath his shirt to make it look like had a gun, police said. He demanded cash before fleeing.
He finally made off with some loot from the CVS on Fifth Ave. in midtown about noon on Sunday.
But apparently not satisfied with the unknown amount of cash he stole, he tried and failed again just hours later at Duane Reade on Broadway on the upper West Side.
Cops describe the man as white, age 35 to 45, 5-feet-7 to 6 feet tall, and weighing about 200 pounds. Besides the cap, similar to a green shower cap, he has been seen wearing a gray sports jacket, blue jeans, a black baseball cap and dark sunglasses.
CVS GOT A BUNCH OF PU**Y'S OVER THERE! THAT'S WHAT EVERYBODY IS SAYING! LOL!
