A member of a rapper's entourage has been arrested for attempted murder, after a shooting early Saturday morning (April 16th) in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
Police said a man named Travis Demond Carroll, 23, was charged with attempted murder and second degree assault.
Capt. Loyd Baker told the Tuscaloosa News that a man approached the rapper as he was leaving local club The Black Orchid, resulting in Carroll shooting numerous times with a 9mm pistol.
The male was struck and is critically injured, while a woman nearby was shot in the back.
She was treated for minor injuries and released from DCH Regional Medical Center.
While Tuscaloosa Metro Homicide representative Susan Penrod refused to identify the rapper citing an ongoing investigation, local flyers stated that Trill Entertainment rapper Lil Phat was the headlining artist for the evening.
Various sources have stated that the man who was shot allegedly attempted to rob Lil Phat, resulting in the wild shooting.
The event took place after the "A-Day" Football game over the weekend in Tuscaloosa, which drew over 93,000 people.
Travis Demond Carroll is being held on $75,000 bail.
