IN THE STREETS & ON THE WEB

Hip-Hop legend Mally Mall has been hospitalized after contracting COVID-19, and the virus has now done damage to his lungs.

The famous rap producer was admitted on July 13, 2020, to the UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles, after coming down with the deadly disease.

According to the Blast the situation is serious and it's unclear how long it will take for him to recover -- but he is not on a ventilator and is expected to survive.

The scary diagnosis surfaced in one of Mally Mall's legal cases where his lawyers filed documents postponing the case due to his medical condition.

"(Mally Mall) was admitted to the UCLA Medical Center hospital on or about July 13, 2020, and was diagnosed with COVI-19 with impact to his lungs," the filing said.

It continued, "It is uncertain when Mr. Rashid will recover, and there would still be a quarantine period thereafter."

Mally has been on the front lines fighting the virus by handing out Coronavirus safety packages to L.A.'s homeless population.

It's possible Mally contracted the virus while trying to protect and help the less fortunate fight the rising numbers in the Los Angeles streets.

Another well known hip hop producer Dame Grease who has produced tracks for DMX said he was posting from the Covid-19 ICU.

Prayers go up to the both of them.
