Seattle police are investigating a home invasion at the Capitol Hill residence of rapper Macklemore. Authorities reported that two men broke into the home just after midnight on Saturday, where they bear-sprayed a nanny and ransacked the property, stealing thousands of dollars worth of jewelry and other items. Police said the nanny recounted that the "taller one" instructed the "shorter one" to spray her with bear mace. The taller suspect demanded, "Where are the jewels?" before the nanny led them to the master bedroom, where they stole watches, jewelry, and shoes, according to police. The suspects physically restrained the nanny, but she managed to escape by biting the shorter suspect's hand, according to Seattle police. The nanny then managed to escape to a neighboring house to call for help, which was captured by a doorbell camera. The incident occurred while three children were inside the home, according to Seattle police. The three children were safely removed, and family members took them to a nearby safe residence, the nanny was not seriously injured, and by the time Seattle police arrived, the suspects had fled the scene.
