Controversial singer M.I.A. has released the first single in memory of Amy Winehouse with a track called "27" - referring to the singer's age at the time of her death.
M.I.A., who shot to fame with the hit "Paper Planes," alluded to other singers, including Kurt Cobain, Janis Joplin and Jim Morrison, who also died at 27.
"All rock stars go to heaven, you said you'll be dead at 27," M.I.A. sings on the track, which she posted on Soundcloud Saturday night.
"I took you to the clinic to get you clean but you couldn't," she sings. "Said in 2 ur 27 an ur destiny was comin."
On a Twitter post linking to the demo, M.I.A. said she had already recorded the song but never released it, adding "R.I.P. A.M.Y."
Winehouse was found dead in her North London home Saturday.
The tribute track had notched nearly 60,000 plays by late Sunday.
