A Connecticut man was in the middle of getting his hair cut when he allegedly slashed a man with scissors and took off before the barber could finish the job.

David Davis was in an apartment in Stamford on Tuesday afternoon when the attack occurred, authorities said.

He told police a man he had argued with earlier approached him in an "aggressive manner" as he was getting his hair done. Davis allegedly snatched a pair of scissors to defend himself and cut the man across the back, cops said.

Police found the 21-year-old shortly after the incident with the aid of a police dog and an anonymous tip. He had a wound on his right side and was taken to a hospital.

The victim was wearing a heavy jacket at the time of the attack, Stamford Police Lt. James Matheny told the Stamford Advocate, so it was unclear how serious his cut might have been. A significant amount of blood stained his clothes.

Davis is being held in lieu of $5,000 bond and was charged with first-degree assault. He also is charged with failing to appear after a previous arrest.
