Here's a question for Sandra Bullock's husband: Are you out of your freaking mind?

New Yorkers were stunned by word that Jesse James had tossed aside "Miss Congeniality" for the heavily tattooed Michelle (Bombshell) McGee.

"Sandra's classy, but the other girl's a mess," said Corey Jacobs, 26, a Brooklyn electrician. "Sandra's got style and elegance."

Pavel Espinal, 20, agreed it was no contest between the Oscar-winning actress and the ink-stained wench who stole her man.

"I couldn't be seen on the streets of New York with a girl with so many tattoos," said the sneaker salesman. "She looks crazy. Sandy looks stable."

McGee, he added, was "obviously trying to get attention because she doesn't have what Sandra has."

Bullock's girl-next-door good looks drew raves from smitten men turned off by McGee's head-to-toe tattoos. The dark-haired model's ink even covers her forehead.

"You've got to have serious mental issues to get your face tattooed," said Adam Hays, an artist at Red Rocket Tattoo on W. 36th St. Co-worker Alex Garcia, 28, said he preferred Bullock's blank canvas to McGee's look.

"She looks like she's crying out for attention," said Garcia. "Sandra doesn't need any of that to be beautiful. He traded a movie star for this?"
