IN THE STREETS & ON THE WEB

Lady Gaga had plenty of surprises in store for the little monsters that came to see her on the opening night of her latest North American tour.

The “Born This Way Ball” kicked off in spectacular Gaga fashion with a mechanical horse, her infamous meat dress, 40 trunks filled with costume changes, and 800 pounds of liquid CO2.

But the real show stealers were her cheeks.

Mother Monster’s pants seem to have ripped right up the back, revealing the fishnet stockings she was wearing underneath.

The wardrobe mishap happened during a rendition of “Heavy Metal Lover.” Gaga donned black leather pants and arched her back into the shape of a motorcycle that a female backup dancer rode across the stage, Rolling Stone reports. The move was meant to evoke the cover of her Born This Way album.

But she must have arched a little bit too seductively. Photos captured all the drama as the singer kept the music going.

Gaga and her army of dancers were trying out a new set of costumes designed exclusively for her by Versace.

After a month off stage, Gaga tweeted that she was nervous before the show. Her set list for the night was 23 songs deep. The singer has described the “Born This Way Ball” as "an Electro-Metal Pop-Opera; the tale of the Beginning, the genesis of the Kingdom of Fame. How we were birthed and how we will die celebrating."

The tour started in Vancouver on Friday and will end in Tulsa, Oklahoma in late March.

Despite the slip-up, Gaga had this message for her fans later on in the show: "No matter how many rhinestones on my jeans, no matter how many fancy wigs I have, just remember that I don’t give a f--- about anything but you and the music."
