Kim Kardashian has learned the hard way not to mess with a tween overcome with Bieber fever.
Shortly after meeting the sultry reality star at Saturday's White House Correspondents' dinner in Washington, D.C., pop sensation Justin Bieber posted a photo of himself with Kardashian on Twitter.
"Look its my girlfriend," Bieber jokingly wrote.
However, many of the pop star's two million Twitter followers didn't take the joke too kindly and began bombarded Kardashian with an overwhelming amount of heartbroken messages.
"I'm getting death threats from your fans!" Kardashian, 29, wrote to the singer Tuesday night. "This is unBeliebable!!!"
The 16-year-old chart topper took matters into his own hands Wednesday by assuring his many admirers that he is still on the market.
"ladies calm down," he wrote, adding that Kardashian was only "a friend."
"a very sexy friend but a friend," he added. "no need 4 threats. Let's all be friends and hang out often."
By now, Bieber should be used to his legion of crazed fans.
The day after his Australian show was canceled last month after unruly fans caused minor injuries to each other, the singer landed in New Zealand to an equally feverish crowd.
Instead of welcoming the baby-faced singer with open arms, his 500 screaming fans grabbed the hat off his head and sent his mother, Pattie Mallette, sprawling.
"I want to be able to sign and take pics and meet my fans, but if you are all pushing, security won't let me," he tweeted. "Let's keep it safe and have fun."
