Kanye West is looking to expand his music empire, and what better way to do so than by debuting his deejay skills to ring in the New Year?
The hip-hop entrepreneur spun tracks at the opening of new nightclub 1 Oak at The Mirage in Las Vegas Saturday night under the pseudonym DJ Yeezy World Peace.
And he didn't disappoint.
West, 34, played an eclectic mix of music that included the biggest hits of 2011, as well as classics from Michael Jackson, according to Rap-Up.
Fergie and husband Josh Duhamel played host to the party, and other boldfaced names like Big Sean and Kid Cudi were also spotted in the crowds.
The rapper has spun before, at the Le Baron nightclub in London, but his New Year's Eve gig was his first Stateside.
West first hinted at his year-end debut on Twitter a few days prior.
"I kinda wanna DJ somewhere this New Years," he wrote. "My New Years DJ name is gone be YEEZY WORLD PEACE! If you book me you have to put YEEZY WORLD PEACE on the E-vite. Or I ain't spinning."
