Drake, the Canadian rap star who makes his living with his rhymes, is almost at a loss for words over a devoted fan who got his name tattooed across her forehead.
"I want to meet her and understand what happened," a clearly uncomfortable Drake told Los Angeles' Power 106 personality Mando Fresko. "That's cool, though, I feel you 100%, that to me is absolutely incredible."
But the 25-year-old rapper was ready to leave his mark on the man who tattooed her, Kevin Campbell of L.A.'s Will Rise tattoo parlor.
“The guy who tatted is a f---ing –-shole though, I will tell you that," he said in the radio interview. "I don’t f--- with that guy. F--- you to that tat artist by the way. And you should lose your job and should never do tattoos again and I don’t f--- with you. And if I ever see you, I’m a f--- you up.”
The tattoo artist told Vice.com after the image went viral last week that he thought it was a gang tattoo and triple-checked with her to make sure it's what she wanted.
"I lost a little sleep over it that first night, wondering if I wanted to be known as the a--hole who tattooed 'DRAKE' on some crackhead's forehead," Campbell told the web site. "In the end, she paid me to do this to her, which really means she did this to herself."
The unidentified fan may have been inspired to take the drastic step by a Drake song, "Free Spirit," which includes the lyric, "Tat my name on you, so I know it's real."This ni**a said he's gonna f**k somebody up! Lol! Stop It Aubrey! Everybody know's you soft like ice cream & you aint gonna do sh!t!
