An Australian man was gored in the leg during the annual running of the bulls in Pamplona, Spain, Friday.
The unidentified man was seriously injured when a 1,200-pound bull's horn sliced through an artery and vein in his leg. But he is expected to survive, the Telegraph reported.
Six other people, including two Americans, were also injured during the second of eight dashes at one of the world's most famous festivals.
On the first day of the run, four people were hurt, including a 40-year-old Spanish man who suffered broken ribs and a fractured shoulder blade, according to CNN.com.
The Australian was hurt during the second day of the run, when six fighting bulls and six steers meant to keep them on track run a 928-yard course before going into a ring.
According to witnesses, the horrific injury occurred after the man approached the bull and waved his arms.
Another man was injured on the second day when he fell and was trampled by almost the entire pack of bulls. The run, which continues for six more days, has been going on for more than 400 years.
In 2009 a man was gored to death during the fourth leg of the run.
The largest crowds are expected for the fourth leg of the run of Saturday.
