Two Giant turtles are calling it quits after 115 years of “marriage.”
Bibi and Poldi, a pair of turtles living in the Austrian Zoo, have shared a cage since they were young but can no longer bear the sight of each other, the Austrian Times reports.
The turn of events marks the end to the world's oldest animal marriage.
"For no reason that anyone can discover they seem to have fallen out," zoo boss Helga Happ told the Times. "They just can't stand each other."
Both 115 years old, the turtles have lived at the zoo in Klagenfurt for 36 years, after moving together from Basel Zoo in Switzerland.
Bibi, the female, was the first to throw in the towel.
Zoo staff were forced to separate the turtles when Bibi began attacking Poldi, even biting off a chunk of his shell.
Animal experts have put the pair through counseling in hopes of sparking a reconciliation.
“We have staff talking to and trying to engage the two in interacting, and we hope that they might find their harmony again,” Happ said.
The experts fed the turtles aphrodisiacs and tried to make them play games with each other, but so far, nothing has worked.
Happ added that it is “very rare” for animals who have been together for so long to separate.
Lol! After 115 years she's like I can't stand this ni**a
