The hits just keep on coming in the Kanye West vs. Today Show slugfest.
The Grammy-award winning rapper cancelled his Nov. 26 performance on the NBC morning show after host Matt Lauer aired an interview that featured an irritated West apologizing for calling George W. Bush a racist.

"I'm not performing on the Today Show for obvious reasons," he tweeted Friday from Dubai. "I'm happy the world got to see just a small piece of ‘the set up.'"

The singer went on a Twitter rampage earlier this week, declaring that Lauer tried to force his answers during an interview. West appeared on the show Wednesday to apologize to the former president over his remarks declaring "George Bush doesn't care about black people" in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.

After posting the angry tweets, the morning show aired more of the interview the next day. Lauer maintained he did nothing wrong and was looking forward to West's live performance.

West's responses were marked by awkward pauses and the performer seemed at a loss for words.

In the extended interview, West snaps at Lauer for playing old footage showing the star storming onto the MTV's Video Music Awards' stage to interrupt Taylor Swift's acceptance speech last September.

West also gets angry when the network showed more footage of an emotional Bush speaking about how hurt he was that West called him a racist—an issue he calls an "all time low" during his time in office in his recently released memoir.

"I didn't need you guys to show me the tape in order to like prompt my emotions," West gripes.

Despite vowing to take a break from Twitter, the rapper went on another tweeting tirade on Friday, calling the show "disrespectful."

"Much love to Matt and the whole Today Show," he tweeted. "I accept ya'll future apology in advance LOL!"
