Rapper Lloyd Banks has commented on his recent gold plaque for his hit single "Beamer, Benz or Bentley."
Lloyd Banks revealed that the hit single was recorded on a shoestring budget.
"Climate wise, as far as the economy goes, it's a beautiful thing man," Banks said in a statement. "When you are coming from an independent standpoint, an independent gold record is really a platinum record and a platinum record is a double platinum record. This record was recorded in my home, mixed and mastered out the pocket. G-Unit as a record label worked it, and here we are: 500,000 copies sold a few months later."
Lloyd Banks is preparing to release H.F.M. 2., his first full-length album since 2006's Rotten Apple.
H.F.M. 2. features guest appearances by G-Unit members 50 Cent and Tony Yayo.
Former rival Styles P also checks in, along with Pusha T, Jeremih, Ryan Leslie, and Akon.
H.F.M.2 is slated to land in stores November 23rd on 50 Cent's G-Unit imprint.
