LLOYD BANKS SAY'S G-UNIT NEEDS NEW YORK SUPPORT!

G-Unit rapper Lloyd Banks has stressed the importance of reaching out to his fellow New York collaborators to help place his team, which consists of 50 Cent and Tony Yayo, back on top.
Banks said in the past, G-Unit's inner circle ties limited their urge to make outside collaborations.

"Nothing stays the same and this kind of change ... a lot of people are looking at it like the collaborations are happening all of a sudden," he said. "But it's because when we first came out in the industry we had such a big umbrella that if you needed a feature you didn't have to look too far. If you needed an R&B feature, Nate Dogg was there. Or Snoop was there if you need a weed record; Buck was down South. We had so much under the umbrella that I didn't need to look outside the circle. The collaborations, specifically the New York ones, are important, especially if we want to get back in the position that we should be." (MTV)
Recently, Banks released his Hunger For More 2 single, "Start It Up," which features guest appearances from Swizz Beatz, Kanye West and Fabolous.

"So you know all those guys who turned out for the last G.O.O.D. Friday (technically Saturday) track? Well, they are almost all together again here on the latest leak from Lloyd Banks' forthcoming H.F.M. 2. The only difference is that "Christian Dior Denim Flow" featured KiD CuDi and Pusha T and in their place on "Start It Up" is Swizz Beatz, who tackles the hook and a weird bridge. This track is also slightly more "futuristic" thanks to the heavy synthesizer usage of producer Cardiak. The rapped verses from Kanye, Banks, and Fabolous are again passable, with Yeezy still killing it with those smirk-worthy lines. Thanks to their bars and the relatively catchy, albeit kind of dumb, hook, I can see this getting reasonable radio play. But I'm hoping this isn't the only trick Banks has up his sleeve for his new album." (Prefix Mag)
Last month, Banks talked about adding surprises to the upcoming album.

"I got a kid named Cardiac who did about 3 or 4 joints. I also did a record with Nipsey Hu$$le, J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League but I make a lot of my music at my home and a lot of the music is there. Sometimes it's just easier to get music done with new producers. They are there whenever we need them. But I'm not finished recording yet, and I got a few major surprises." (VIBE)
As far as additional guest spots, Banks had already confirmed working with Raekwon and Styles P on the new LP.

"As far as features go, of course, 50 Cent is on the project, Tony Yayo is on the project," Banks revealed in an interview. "I got Raekwon on a joint, I just spoke to him. Just spoke to Styles P, waiting on that back. Nipsey Hussle and a few other things that's still in the workings. I'm in the tailor end of the project right now. Just waiting for the features to get back and seeing who's a good fit then the next week or so, I'll have a more realistic list of what they can expect from HFM2." (Civilized Talk)
The Hunger For More is scheduled to drop Tuesday, November 23rd.
