LL Cool J is off the hook.
The 44-year-old rapper turned “NCIS: Los Angeles” star is not likely to face charges as a result of his fight with a burglar who broke into his Studio City home, an LAPD spokeswoman confirmed to the Daily News.
LL, aka James Todd Smith, was woken by a noise coming from his kitchen about 1 a.m. and confronted the intruder downstairs, TMZ reported.
Smith left the would-be robber with a broken nose and jaw in what police sources described to the L.A. Times as a “knock-down, drag-out” fight, and detained him for police.
The "Mama Said Knock You Out" rapper, legendary in Hollywood for his grueling workout regimen, emerged from the fight uninjured.
Police identified the suspect as 59-year-old Jonathan Kirby, a homeless man originally from Texas but with an arrest record in Southern California.
Kirby, who was taken to a local hospital for treatment, will be charged with burglary, police said.
Prison records obtained by the L.A. Times show Kirby was sentenced to five years for burglary in the 1990s and three years for petty theft in 2005.
“LL Cool J, and his family, are safe and thank everyone for their thoughts and concern,” Smith's spokesman said in a statement obtained by The News.
“As a father, husband and citizen, he is committed to keeping his family safe and is cooperating with authorities on this private matter.”
