Lizzo and Kendrick Lamar are among the big names set to hit the stage at Governors Ball 2023 this summer. The lineup for the annual New York City festival was announced on Tuesday (January 17). “New York’s biggest party” will be taking over Queens’ Corona Park for the first time between June 9 and June 11 to give fans a thrilling three-day festival experience. Kendrick has been tapped to headline the closing night on Sunday, which follows headlining performances from Lizzo and Odesza on the Friday and Saturday, respectively. “Words can’t express how excited we are to bring Gov Ball to Flushing Meadows Corona Park, one of the most special and storied parks in all of New York City,” said Tom Russell, co-founder of Founders Entertainment company. “Since moving to Queens in 2021 we’ve been overwhelmed by the welcome the community has shown us, and we look forward to continue being a part of and giving back to that community for years to come. We are honored to call such an iconic venue our new home.
