Lisa Bonet Says TV Dad Bill Cosby Had 'Sinister, Shadow Energy'

Lisa Bonet always had a bad feeling about Bill Cosby.

“There was no knowledge on my part about his specific actions,” she told PorterEdit. “But … there was just energy. And that type of sinister, shadow energy cannot be concealed.”

Bonet, 50, played Cosby’s daughter Denise on “The Cosby Show.”

Bonet said she “always” sensed a “darkness” in Cosby but maintained she never knew anything about his alleged activities behind closed doors.

“If I had anything more to reveal then it would have happened a long time ago,” she said. “That’s my nature. The truth will set you free.”

Despite the allegations of sexual misconduct on Cosby’s part that could have tainted the show’s legacy for her, Bonet still looks back on her time on the series fondly.

“It’s exactly as I remember it,” she said.

Cosby, 80, is set for an April retrial over accusations that he drugged and molested former Temple University employee Andrea Constand at his home in 2004.
