Lil Wayne Tour Bus Shooter Now Charged In Florida

Despite being behind bars at the Cobb County jail, the man accused of firing shots at rapper Lil Wayne’s tour buses is now in more trouble.

Jimmy Carlton Winfrey, also known as “Pee Wee,” already has been indicted on numerous charges, including aggravated assault, criminal damage and terroristic threats, stemming from the April shooting on I-75.

Winfrey was allegedly trying to gain “street cred” by “committing a high profile shooting of a rival rap artist,” his arrest warrant stated. He was denied bond and will remain jailed in Cobb until his trial, which has not yet been scheduled.

At the time of his arrest in Cobb, Winfrey was on probation for drug charges in Florida, according to police. On Friday, a new arrest warrant was issued for Winfrey charging him with being a fugitive from justice.
It was not known Tuesday when Winfrey would be returned to Florida to answer the charges.
