Lil Wayne’s controversial lyrics in Future’s “Karate Chop (Remix)” upset the living relatives of slain teenager Emmett Till and cost the Cash Money rapper his partnership with Mountain Dew. Wayne had apologized for the references to Till in a statement back in May, but Till’s family rejected the apology.
During a stop on the America’s Most Wanted Tour in Nashville, Tennessee, Wayne took the time to offer his amends once again.
“I apologize to the family of Emmett Till,” stated Wayne as he performed his verse from “Karate Chop.”
