Lil Pump has been banned from flying on JetBlue after refusing to wear a mask on a flight and becoming “verbally abusive” with crew members, a report said on Thursday.
The “Gucci Gang” singer, whose real name is Gazzy Garcia, received the ban from the airline after causing a ruckus over the mask policy during a flight from Fort Lauderdale to Los Angeles, according to USA Today.
Lil Pump “became verbally abusive with crew members after being asked multiple times and refusing to comply with JetBlue’s face covering policy,” a JetBlue rep told the outlet.
“His return reservation was cancelled and he is no longer welcome to fly on JetBlue,” the rep added.
According to TMZ, law enforcement officers were waiting at the gate when Pump exited the plane. It does not appear that the artist was taken into custody.
JetBlue was the first major US airline to require all customers to wear a face covering during their flights. The policy went into effect on May 4.
The 20-year-old rapper responded with an expletive-laden social media rant against the airline on social media. He also pledged to never wear a mask in 2021.
